TreasuresUntoldis the new chapter of the “Pillars of Meerschaum” Collection, born out of a fascination of mythical stories about mermaids, shipwrecks andtreasurehunts, and Feyza Kemahlioglu’s deeply rooted connection to the Aegean Sea.
Envisioning a mystical underwater archaeological site, formed by columns of intricately hand-carved Meerschaum, and hand-blown glass that has the colors, textures and remnants of the Sea, the collection takes you through the experience of exploring underwater and the mystery of whattreasuresyou will find.
The Centerpiece Bowls are shaped by hand organically, and they are full of texture and patterns made by colored glass frit and crystals. The small crystals encrusted inside resemble seafoam, and waves crashing onto the sand. The turquoise and lagoon pieces with swirls, speckles, Barnacles and Sea Flowers stuck on the exterior of the bowls take you under the Sea, where you examine coral reefs, finding seashells, colorful fish and even a ship rope tangled around a giant rock.
